Digital 4K Action Cam Accessory: Apology and notice of free-of-charge inspection for customers using the Dive Door AKA-DDX1

It has come to our attention that the record button (REC) may, at times, not work when the Waterproof Case (SPK-X1) supplied with the Digital 4K Video Camera Recorder Action Cam (FDR-X1000V or FDR-X1000VR) is used with the separately sold accessory Dive Door (AKA-DDX1) that supports underwater shooting when the user tries to record to a depth of up to 60 meters.

We kindly ask customers of the Dive Door (AKA-DDX1) to contact the following and request free-of-charge inspection.
Please note: This matter does not affect your use of the Waterproof Case (SPK-X1) alone without the Dive Door.

Malfunction Symptoms

When replacing the door of the Waterproof Case (model SPK-X1) with the Dive Door (model AKA-DDX1), the following may happen depending on the situation.

  • The REC button may sometimes not work
  • The waterproof performance degrades when pushing hard on the REC button
