Set up the Handycam to Control Another Camera

You can set up your Handycam® as a controller of another Handycam, an Action Cam® or a Cyber-Shot® camera with the Multi-Camera Control feature.

Note:

  • In the steps below, the controlling camera is called the master camera and the cameras connected to the master camera are called client cameras.
  • You will need to set up both master and client cameras to use Multi Camera Control. Check your manual for model-specific information. Os manuais são postados em seu modelo de página de suporte.

Single Connection

Follow the steps to set up your Handycam as a master camera and shoot with a slave camera at the same time.

  1. Set up the master camera as Single Connection.

  2. Enable the Wi-Fi of the master camera

  3. Connect the client camera to the master camera.

  4. On the master camera, select the client camera Wi-Fi name (SSID).
  5. On the client camera, authorize the Wi-Fi connection.
  6. Once the connection is established, an icon appears on the monitor of the master camera.

  7. Press the START/STOP button of the master camera to start recording with both cameras.

Multi Connection

Follow the steps to set up your Handycam as the master camera and shoot with multiple slave cameras at the same time.

  1. Set up the master camera as Multi Connection.

  2. Enable the Wi-Fi of the master camera

  3. On the master camera, tap the Setting icon. Image

  4. Select Connect Device Reg.

    The message Operate the device you want to connect to and connect via Wi-Fi to the device will appear on the monitor.

  5. Connect the client camera to the master camera.

  6. On the master camera, select the client camera Wi-Fi name (SSID).
  7. On the client camera, authorize the Wi-Fi connection
  8. When Registration complete. is displayed on the monitor of the master camera, tap OK.
  9. Repeat steps 3-8 to connect additional cameras.
  10. Press the START/STOP button of the master camera to start recording with all connected cameras.
