How to start the Bluetooth Support Service and configure it to start automatically.

NOTE: For computers using the Windows® 7 operating system, click the Quick Fix icon to automatically start and configure the Bluetooth Support Service.

Follow these steps to start the Bluetooth Support Service and configure it to start automatically.

  1. Click the Start button, and in the Search field, type Services.msc.
  2. Press the ENTER key.

    NOTE: If prompted for an administrator password or a User Account Control prompt is displayed, type the appropriate password, click Continue or click Yes.

  3. In the Services window, in the right pane, under Name, click to select the Bluetooth Support Service.
  4. On the menu bar, click Action, and then click Properties.
  5. In the Bluetooth Support Service Properties window, next to Startup type, click the down arrow, then click to select Automatic.

    NOTE: Other available options are Automatic (Delayed Start), Manual, and Disabled.

  6. Click the Apply button.
  7. If the Server status: shows Stopped, click the Start button to start the service.

  8. Click the OK button.
  9. In the Services window, click the X in the upper right corner to close the window.
