The wireless connection is lost or not available when using battery power.

The wireless connection may be lost or not available because the power management setting for the Intel Centrino technology wireless network adapter is set to automatic or to a lower power mode setting. To resolve this issue, download any Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) updates available online. Cheque os Downloads disponíveis para seu modelo.

If desired, the power management setting for the wireless network adapter can be adjusted manually in the Device Manager of the operating system.

NOTE: Changing the power management setting can affect battery performance.

  1. Disable the IEEE 802.1x authentication  used on the wireless connection.
  2. On the taskbar, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
  3. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
  4. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
  5. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
  6. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
  7. In the Device Manager window, double-click the Network adapters icon.
  8. Under the Network adapters category, double-click the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless adapter icon.
  9. In the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless... window, click the Advanced tab.
  10. On the Advanced tab, under Property, click to select Power Management.
  11. Under Value, click the down arrow and then click to select a higher power mode setting.

    NOTE: Depending on the wireless card installed the maximum power setting will be 5, Highest or Constantly Awake Mode (CAM).

  12. Click the OK button.
