How to reset the component Hi-Fi stereo system to factory settings.

IMPORTANT:

  • Use the buttons on the unit itself to perform the steps below.
  • All user-configured settings, such as preset radio stations, Sleep Timer,  pairing registration information, clock and network are reset to factory default setting.

The steps on how to reset the component Hi-Fi stereo system to factory settings vary depending on the model number of your stereo system. Select the appropriate steps below based on the model number of your stereo system.

  • MHC-V44D and MHC-GT4D

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the ENTER button and the fast forward button fast forward button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • MHC-V11

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand folder minus button Folder minus button at the same time until the word RESET appears on the display panel.
  • GTK-XB7

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the FUNCTION button and the Volume - button at the same time for more than five seconds.

    NOTE: After all the indicators on the stereo system flash for more than three seconds, all user-configured settings, such as the pairing registration information, are reset to factory default settings.

  • MHC-GT3D, MHC-GT5D and MHC-V7D

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the ENTER button and the TUNING +/ fast forward button fast forward button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • SHAKE-X1D, SHAKE-X3D and SHAKE-X7D

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the DJ OFF button and TUNING + button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • CMT-SX7

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the PUSH ENTER button and the power button power buttonat the same time until All Reset appears in the display window.
  • MHC-V5 and MHC-V6D

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand BASS BAZUCA button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • MHC-V3

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand ENTER button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • CMT-S30I, CMT-S20, MHC-ECL5, MHC-EC619IP, MHC-EC719IP, MHC-EC919IP, MHC-EC919IPN, MHC-ECL77BT and MHC-ECL99BT

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand EQ button at the same time until RESET or RESET OK appears on the display panel.
  • CMT-X3CD and CMT-SBT40D

    1. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    2. Press and hold the FUNCTION button and the OPEN/CLOSE button at the same time until RESET appears on the display window.
  • MHC-GPX555, MHC-GPX888 and LBT-GPX555

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand MOVIE/GAME button at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • SHAKE-5, SHAKE-7, SHAKE-33, SHAKE-55, SHAKE-77, SHAKE-99, MHC-GPX33, MHC-GPX55, MHC-GPX77, MHC-GPX88, LBT-GPX55 and LBT-GPX77

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand the LED COLOR at the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • CMT-X5CD, MHC-ESX6, MHC-ESX8, MHC-ESX9, FST-GTK17iP and RDH-GTK37iP

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the FUNCTION button and the power button power buttonat the same time for about three seconds.

    The word RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • GTK-N1BT and CMT-SBT100

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP buttonand the power button power buttonat the same time until RESET appears on the display panel.
  • MHC-GTR33, MHC-GTR55, MHC-GTR66H, MHC-GTR77 and MHC-GTR88

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, ENTER button and power button power buttonat the same time.

    The word COLD RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • MHC-EC68PI, MHC-EC78PI, MHC-EC98PI, MHC-EX6BR and MHC-EX8BR

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, FUNCTION button and power button power buttonat the same time.
  • MHC-EC709IP and MHC-EC909I

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, CD button and power button power buttonat the same time.

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.

    The word COLD RESET will appear on the display panel.

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, VOL + button and power button power buttonat the same time.

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.

    The word COLD RESET will appear on the display panel.

  • CMT-BX1, CMT-BX3 and CMT-BX5BT

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the folder minus button Folder minus button, STOP button STOP buttonand power button power buttonat the same time.
  • CPF-IX001

    1. Insert a fine-tipped object into the RESET hole on the side of the unit and press in.
    2. The network unit restarts.
  • MHC-RG88

    1. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, ENTER button and power button power buttonat the same time.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    4. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
  • CMT-CP100 and CMT-CP101

    With the stereo system turned on, press and hold the TAPESTOP button button, CDSTOP button button and TURNER BAND button at the same time.

  • CMT-CP300 and CMT-CP333

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press the power button power buttonwhile pressing down TAPE ASTOP buttonbutton and TAPE B STOP buttonbutton.
  • CMT-CP33MD

    Press the RESET switch on the bottom of the stereo system using a ball-point pen.

  • CHC-CL1

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
    3. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
    4. Press and hold the STOP button STOP button, DISPLAY button and CD 1 at the same time.
    5. Press the power button power button to turn on the stereo system.
  • CMT-CP1 and CMT-CP11

    1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
    2. Press the power button power buttonand plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
