How to access the Skype feature.

NOTE: Not all BRAVIA® TVs are supplied with the Skype™ feature. To see if your TV has the Skype feature, check the manual or specifications for the device. Os manuais são postados em seu modelo de página de suporte.  

Make sure you have all of the following to use the Skype Internet video call feature before following the steps below.

  • A Sony® TV with the Skype feature
  • The Sony camera with microphone, model CMU-BR100 or CMU-BR200 (sold separately)

    NOTE: The camera with microphone must be connected to the USB connection on the back of the TV.

  • A high-speed Internet connection

    NOTES:

    • Proxy connections are not supported.
    • Networks that require a log in for authentication such as a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or a PPoE are not supported.
  • A Skype account - either a New or Existing account
  1. Make sure that the TV is connected to an active Internet connection.
  2. Download the latest system software update. Updates can be downloaded from the Network menu of the TV.
  3. Attach the optional camera with microphone unit (CMU-BR100 or CMU-BR200) to the rear USB connection of the TV.
  4. Press the Home, Menu or SOCIAL VIEW button.

    NOTE: Social Viewing feature can be used if you want to make a call using Skype while watching TV. Follow the steps below if you want to use the Social Viewing feature.

    1. After pressing the SOCIAL VIEW button, the Social Viewing screen appears.

      NOTE: The image size of the program you are watching is reduced and the tweets area appears.

    2. Press the SOCIAL VIEW button again to open the menu screen.
    3. Proceed to steps 7 and 8.
  5. Select Applications.
  6. Press ENTER.
  7. Select Skype.
  8. Select either Sign In or Create New Account. Image

    NOTE: After creating a new account, you must read and agree with the Licence Agreement [FIG.1] and then press the ENTER button.
