NOTE on connecting to the LIGHT connector of XDCAM shoulder camcorders

It has been confirmed that connecting an external device such as a third-party light that has a built-in battery or can be battery-powered to the LIGHT connector (D-Tap connector) of an XDCAM Shoulder Camcorder (hereinafter referred to as the "camcorder") may result in a serious accident, such as internal damage to the camcorder.

The LIGHT connector of the camcorder is for output only.

Therefore, when connecting a third-party external device that has a built-in battery or can be powered by a battery, please confirm in advance with the device manufacturer that no voltage can be applied to the LIGHT connector.
